The samplers, designed for soft clay ground investigation, have been developed in collaboration with the Norwegian geotechnical company NGI. The product development has focused on meeting the modern needs of ground investigation, ensuring the samplers are easy and quick to use, and improving the quality of the samples.
Previously, a dual-rod system was used in samplers. The Geomachine sampler can be directly attached to the drill rods used in drilling rigs, eliminating the need for unnecessary rod switching and thus increasing work efficiency.
The sampler is powered by water pressure; the sample tube is hydraulically pushed out while the sampler body and rod system remain stationary. The sample quality is improved by allowing for precise sampling from the exact desired depth using this technology.
The sampler can be installed on all drilling rigs equipped with a drill and a high-pressure pump. It is available in two sizes, for samples with diameters of 54 mm and 72 mm.
