Digital innovations

Efficient, productive, and profitable — that’s how we believe ground investigation should be. That’s why we are at the forefront of the market, developing digital innovations that make drilling processes increasingly smarter and higher in quality.

Inspired by the Future

Geomachine’s digital innovations are deeply rooted in the future. Our vision is to be the world’s leading manufacturer of ground investigation solutions. This means our machines and their associated processes must be exceptionally intelligent.

We are constantly developing new digital innovations that increase transparency in investigation processes, improve efficiency, streamline equipment management, raise machine utilization rates, and enhance overall process cost-effectiveness. All of this is achieved by leveraging, sharing, and refining data generated throughout the process in the smartest possible way.

GMTracker

At the heart of our digital product family lies the GMTracker data-logger — an advanced tool designed specifically for ground investigation processes. It provides complete visibility into the operation and performance of the equipment used. The GMTracker records real-time data on ground characteristics and operator observations while also collecting data from external sensors, machines, and sources.

With GMTracker, it is now possible — for the first time in the world of ground investigation – with a single device to collect and share information as well as utilize it for service, machine maintenance, workflows planning and management.

In its StandAlone version, the GMTracker operates locally as a tool for field operators. The operator inputs the investigation tasks, performs them, and monitors the collected investigation data. They can also enter their own observations into the device during the process.

In StandAlone mode, data is stored locally in the tablet’s internal memory, which acts as the user interface. Once the operator has completed quality assurance for the collected data, they can share it via email, file transfer service, or memory card with relevant stakeholders.

GMTrackerCloud

For the most modern, intelligent, and efficient approach to ground investigation, we recommend the Cloud version of GMTracker. It connects all members of the project value chain by enabling real-time, bidirectional information exchange.

Efficiency improves when data flows seamlessly between field operators and project management, designers, main contractors, and clients — all in real time. At the core of it all is the data generated during the investigation, now leveraged more wisely to support both process development and broader business operations.

A solution that adapts to user needs

GMTrackerCloud grows with the needs of its users. When all its innovative features are activated, it offers solutions for efficiently executing the key tasks of ground investigation projects based on real-time data. These include data collection and monitoring, equipment performance tracking, comprehensive project and fleet management, and machine maintenance.

Traditionally, ground investigation has relied heavily on manual workflows in planning and management, and real-time data transfer between project stakeholders has been challenging. GMSiteOps, a feature within GMTrackerCloud, boosts project management and resource allocation while automating related tasks. It digitizes the project manager's workflow and integrates it into the value chain. GMSiteOps improves process transparency, real-time responsiveness, quality, and safety — turning collected data into actionable business insights.

How does it work in practice?

A geotechnical engineer uploads a pre-made investigation plan into GMSiteOps. The supervising investigator allocates tasks to drilling rigs and forwards the information to the field operator. The operator completes the tasks, monitors the data, performs quality assurance, and uploads it to the cloud. Stakeholders and the supervising investigator can monitor progress in real time and access the data immediately after completion.

Traditionally, machine maintenance has been reactive, with slow response times and hard-to-find documentation. Unexpected downtime has been common and costly.

GMCare, a feature of GMTrackerCloud, is designed to maximize rig utilization. It creates a two-way connection between the operator, fleet manager, and maintenance partner. It provides the maintenance partner with a real-time overview of equipment condition, enabling proactive maintenance and reducing failures.

GMCare digitizes and standardizes maintenance documentation and stores it centrally. It uses machine learning to build a growing knowledge base, allowing for increasingly individualized and predictive maintenance in the future.

How does it work in practice?

The operator performs inspections and reports issues via GMCare. Any faults or diagnostic codes are automatically forwarded to the maintenance partner in real time. The machine is added to the service queue immediately, and repairs begin without delay. The maintenance partner may guide the operator remotely or call the machine in for service if needed.

GMCare keeps the maintenance history always up to date, as service actions are logged directly and systematically in real time.

Lifecycle management of machinery has traditionally been difficult, with documentation scattered and updates requiring manual work — resulting in outdated data.

GMFleet, a feature of GMTrackerCloud, ensures all essential machine data is always available and up to date. It functions as a centralized equipment registry, housing all technical documentation, machine specifications, and lifecycle data. Information on machine capabilities is also easily accessible.

Comprehensive equipment data management makes it possible to monitor lifecycle costs accurately. Procurement and budgeting decisions can now be based on real-time, reliable data.

How does it work in practice?

Manufacturers and fleet managers upload all related documentation into GMFleet. Maintenance partners and project managers can then access all relevant data in real time and in a standardized format.

Project managers and fleet supervisors can monitor machine location and performance in real time, enabling them to allocate the nearest available machine to a worksite or route service requests to the closest maintenance partner. Unauthorized use of machines also becomes visible thanks to GMFleet.
